KL Rahul, the prominent batter of Delhi Capitals, has smashed his first half-century of the IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings in match no. 17 of the season. Notably, this is also his first fifty for DC, which comes in just 33 balls at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.

KL Rahul, bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 14 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, proves his worth with a half-century in just his second game for the franchise. The wicketkeeper batter scored fifty in just 33 balls and is currently playing on 70 runs off 45 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes. He opened the inning for DC in place of Faf du Plessis, who was available for the match due to a niggle, and capitalized on the opportunity with a great inning.

Axar Patel, the captain of Delhi Capitals, won the toss and elected to bat first against Chennai Super Kings at Ma Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.
