Sachin Tendulkar, regarded as the best batter in the world, showcased his outstanding skills, becoming the first-ever player to score a double century in ODI by scoring 200* off just 147 balls in Gwalior on 24 February 2010. Celebrating the 15 years of this iconic inning, Yuvraj Singh and the India Masters team playing in the International Masters League (IML) 2025 surprised Sachin with a cake in the dressing room.

The whole India Masters team gave a heartfelt tribute to Sachin’s one of the greatest innings of his career. Yuvraj Singh said “First man to get a double hundred. For him, it was just another day in the park, but we have learned from him to always stay humble. He is always there first.”

Sachin posted the video on his Twitter handle, thanking the team for organizing the celebration, saying, “Nice surprise filled with dher sara pyaar! Thank you, Team.

The inning of Sachin Tendulkar is one of the best innings in ODI cricket played against South Africa in 2010. The right-handed batter scored an unbeaten 200 runs off just 147 balls, including 3 sixes and 25 fours, with a strike rate of 136.05. 

He is the first-ever cricketer to score a double century in an ODI; after that, his opening partner, Virender Sehwag, also scored 219 against West Indies in 2011. The current Indian ODI and Test captain, Rohit Sharma, goes one step ahead, scoring three double centuries in 2013, 2014, and 2017. 

Sachin Tendulkar is currently playing in the International Masters League 2025 with India Masters. The team features legendary players like Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, and Suresh Raina. They defeated Sri Lanka Masters in their first match by 4 runs thanks to amazing performances from Irfan Pathan, Stuart Binny, Yusuf Pathan, and Yuvraj Singh.
