Abhishek Sharma, known for his explosive batting approach and often dealing in fours and sixes in the powerplay, got run out on 1 run against DC. On the 5th ball of the first over, Travis Head goes hard for a cover drive to Mitchell Starc but gets a thick edge off the bat; the ball rolls to the offside, and he is off to run, but Abhishek hesitates and does not go quickly for it, and Vipraj Nigam’s underarm throw gave great start to DC.ย

Pat Cummins, captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, won the toss in Visakhapatnam and elected to bat first against Delhi Capitals. However, this time, the template of SRH’s batting field was lost as they lost three early wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Nitish Kumar Reddy under the powerplay. Travis Head also managed to put up only 22 runs before Mitchell Starc got him. Then the young Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen give some counterpunches. Heinrich Klaasen scored 32 runs off 19 balls before a stunner by Vipraj got him, and Aniket smashed 74 runs off 41 balls, including 5 fours and 6 sixes. Thanks to his inning SRH put up a total of 163 in 20 overs.
