In recent developments around domestic cricket, Mumbai Cricket is set to follow major setbacks as one after the other players are shifting their home bases to different cities. Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal reported to shift from Mumbai to Goa, and now, as per the new report, SKY is also expected to join Jaiswal in Goa.

The T20 Captain Suryakumar Yadav is set to join Goa and is likely to leave Mumbai for the domestic season, as per reports of the Times of India. GCA secretary Shambha Desai, while declining to reveal names, confirmed ongoing discussions. “We are currently in talks with many players from the country. I can’t give you a name right now. We will be finalising other professional players soon,” he said to Times of India.

SKY to leave Mumbai and move to Goa for a lead role

It’s been a few days, the Goa Cricket Association is reaching out to players to join their team, after there has been a shift in their rankings in the Ranji Trophy. The team first contacted Jaiswal, who responded positively and confirmed his status on joining the Goa team. Now, as per the new report, Surya Kumar has also been contacted and is likely to move out of Mumbai to Goa. If talks went well, then SKY could be seen in a different team for the next domestic season.

Suryakumar Yadav has played a total of 86 FC games and has accumulated a total of 5758 runs with an average of over 42, to go with 14 tons and 30 half-centuries. In the 144 List A games, he has hit 3665 runs and has also mustered over 8000 runs in the 312 games that he has played in the shortest format of the game.

SKY denies any change in the domestic team, responding comically to reports, he said, “Script writer hai ya journalist? Agar hasna hai toh I will stop watching comedy movies and start reading these articles. Ekdum bakwas “

Apart from Jaiswal and SKY, new reports also suggest that Tilak Varma has been contacted for a new role in the Goa team. If Tilak says yes, then his home team, Hyderabad, will also face a major void in their team. Talking with TOI, Goa Cricket Association secretary Shambha Desai didn’t reveal any name but claimed that they are in talks with many players from the country. He also talked about how they approached Yashasvi Jaiswal, adding that paperwork will be done in due course of time.
