SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma once again fail against KKR

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders are facing each other after the last season final in match no. 15 of the IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Like last season’s final, the SRH openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, known for their aggressive style of batting, failed to score against KKR pacers.
Vaibhav Arora dismissed Travis Head on the second ball of the inning on just 4 runs, while Harshit Rana removed Abhishek Sharma on 2 runs off 6 balls in the second over. The KKR bowlers have not stopped on this, as Vaibhav dismissed Ishan Kishan on 2 runs off 5 balls in the third over. Currently, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Kamindu Mendis are playing in the middle.

Sunrisers Hyderabad started amazingly well as Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami removed Kolkata Knight Riders’ openers Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine on 1 and 7 runs, respectively. However, captain Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi managed the inning well. Rahane got out to Zeeshan Ansari on 38 runs off 27 balls, while Raghuvanshi smashed a fifty off 32 balls. After his wicket, Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer played amazingly well to take KKR to 200 in 20 overs. Venkatesh smashed 60 runs off 29 balls, including 7 fours and 3 sixes, while Rinku scored an unbeaten 32 off 17 balls.
While chasing the 201, SRH lost three wickets of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan in first three overs. At the time of writing, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Kamindu Mendis are playing in the middle.
