Shubman Gill to bat at number four in England Test series

According to reports, Shubman Gill is set to be announced as the team captain and is also expected to bat at number 4.

Shubman Gill to bat at number four in the England Test series

According to Cricbuzz, Shubman Gill is all set to lead Team India in a five-match Test series in England. The 25-year-old will also bat at number 4, filling the spot left vacant by the retired Virat Kohli. This leaves the number 3 position open.

Crizbuzz also reported that the Sai Sudharsan, who is in red-hot form in IPL 2025, is likely to be named in the squad and is also expected to bat at number 3. The top 4 of India in England are likely to be Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, and Shubman Gill.
