Shardul Thakur becomes the IPL 2025 Purple Cap holder with a stellar performance against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday, taking four important wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Abhinav Manohar, and Mohammed Shami. Thanks to his outstanding spell, LSG managed to restrict the dangerous batting side of SRH to 190. Now, with 6 wickets in two matches, Shardul Thakur has claimed the IPL 2025 Purple Cap with the most wickets.

With 6 wickets in two matches with an average of 8.83, Shardul Thakur is now the Purple Cap holder of IPL 2025. Notably, the 33-year-old went unsold in the mega auction and joined LSG as a replacement for the injured Mohsin Khan.
