Rohit Sharma and Fitness Concerns Against New Zealand Clash
Despite this lighthearted moment, the fans are more concerned about his availability in the upcoming match against New Zealand. As per some reports, he is dealing with a Hamstring injury and is likely to miss the clash.
In the ongoing Champions Trophy, playing against Pakistan, Rohit got injured and was seen out of the match for a few overs before returning to the field. Following this, he was also seen missing the net practice sessions, which added more to the news of him resting against the next crucial clash with New Zealand. But there is some more to the news, as the batter was once again spotted in the practice sessions, and his availability in the probable XI is still in hopes.
Starting solid for Men In Blue, Rohit started strong against Bangladesh but failed to make an impact in the Pakistan match, with him being fit for the next match. The team can look up to him to lead them to the next match. But in case he fails to make it, then the leadership will shift to Shubman Gill.
India has been dominant in the tournament, securing convincing wins over Bangladesh and Pakistan. With an unbeaten run and a semifinal spot locked in, the Men in Blue remain the team to beat.
