After a rare failure in the last game, Mitchell Marsh has bounced back hard, scoring a brilliant half-century in just 27 balls against the Mumbai Indians at Ekana Stadium. The batter scored 60 runs off just 31 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes, before getting out to Vignesh Puthur.
Notably, this is his third half-century of the season in just four games. He scored 72 runs off 36 balls against Delhi Capitals in the first match and smashed 52 runs in 31 balls against last year’s runners-up, Sunrisers Hyderabad. The 33-year-old failed to open his account against Punjab Kings as he got out on a duck but bounced back hard against Mumbai Indians to score 60 runs off 31 balls.
Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss in match 16 of the IPL 2025 against LSG at Ekana Stadium Lucknow and elected to bowl first, as most of the teams are doing this season.
