As per the developments around the game, BCCI has reportedly informed the franchises to gear up for the IPL 2025 resumption and also have asked them to call their players to the designated venue by Tuesday. BCCI wants a quick resumption of the Indian Premier League soon after the suspension gets over and it aims for the IPL Final on May 25 as per the original Schedule of the IPL 2025.
The Indian Premier League was suspended for a week after the Punjab vs Delhi match on May 9 due to escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan. However with the two countries announcing ceasefire on saturday evening, the board will now consult the government and hold discussions keeping in mind best interests of all the stakeholder before finally announcing a revised schedule for the IPL 2025.
“As the IPL was suspended for a week, there is a possibility of the IPL final now being played on May 30 instead of May 25 with limited venues. The schedule will be sent to all IPL teams by tonight,” source in the BCCI informed.

Following the announcement of the suspension the Overseas players started heading to their respective home countries but now with the conditions improving they will now be recalled by Tuesday. According to a report in The Indian Express, Punjab Kings will play their remaining IPL matches at a neutral venue.
“All franchises have been told to inform its team to report to their respective destination by Tuesday. Punjab will have a neutral venue, so their destination is yet to be confirmed. The board is planning to have more double headers so that they can finish the IPL as per its scheduled day,” the daily quoted a BCCI source as saying.
We need to work out venue dates, says Arun Dhumal
As per many reports BCCI wants to complete the league itself in the month of the may as stretching beyond May could lead to unavailability of overseas players and will also interfere with the International Cricket Schedule of Men In Blue, as they are set to tour England for upcoming Test Series starting in June.
“We need to work out the venue dates and everything, and we would now be speaking to all the stakeholders, including team owners, broadcasters, and everyone involved and find a way as to how to move forward. Most importantly, we will have to consult with the government,”
Keeping things in mind, BCCI has reportedly shortlisted three venues including Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to host the remainder of the season.
