Axar Patel, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, won the toss and elected to bowl first at Visakhapatnam against the Lucknow Super Giants. However, LSG openers accepted the challenge and started amazingly with big shots all over the park. However, Aiden Markram got out to Nigam on 15 runs, but Mitchell Marsh continued his attack with new batter Nicholas Pooran.

The Australian scored 72 runs off just 36 balls, including 6 sixes and 6 fours, and got out to Mukesh Kumar. Pooran continued to attack and smashed 75 runs off just 30 balls. After these two wickets, the DCโ€™s innings crashed with quick wickets of Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni, and Shardul Thakur. However, with the finishing touches of David Miller, LSG put up a good total of 209 in 20 overs.

While chasing the big total of 210, Delhi Capitals lost two wickets of Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel in the first over, and Sameer Rivzi also got out to M Siddhart on just 4 runs. Captain Axar Patel showed some intent with 22 runs off 11 balls but also lost his wicket in the powerplay. After the six overs, Ravi Bishnoi removed Faf du Plessis on 29, putting all pressure on DC.

However, Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma played well in the middle, controlling the inning, but Stubbs got out at the wrong time on 34. Then comes the 20-year-old Vipraj, who shifted the momentum toward DC with his 39 runs in a 15-ball inning.

After he got out to Rathi, Ashutosh Sharma started his show with boundaries all over the park. In the last over, DC was required to score 6 runs with Mohit Sharma on strike. He played the first ball as a dot and took the single on the second to bring Ashutosh on strike. The batter did not take many balls and finished the match with a straight six.
