Abhishek Sharma, who had been struggling with form this season, roared back in style with a sensational 40-ball century against Punjab Kings while chasing 246 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad, in Match 27 of IPL 2025. Notably, this is the 24-year-old’s maiden IPL hundred.

Abhishek Sharma, the destructive opener of Sunrisers Hyderabad, smashes a 40-ball hundred against Punjab Kings. The left-handed batter, who has been struggling with form in the initial five games, bounced back amazingly well in a big chase of the 246. He dominated the bowlers through the innings with his fours and sixes all over the park. At the time of writing, the left-hander is playing on 108 off 44 balls, including 11 fours and 7 sixes.

Shreyas Iyer, captain of the Punjab Kings, won the toss and elected to bat against the home team, Sunrisers Hyderabad, in match no. 27 of the IPL 2025 at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad.
