India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final to win their third Champions Trophy title. Rohit Sharma’s India remains undefeated through the tournament thanks to their all-around performance on the field, especially in bowling. India bowlers outscored the opposing team in four out of five matches, including all group stage matches and the semi-final against Australia. The bowling unit also performed exceptionally well in the final, taking seven wickets and restricting the Kiwis to 251 in 50 overs. Despite playing just three matches, Varun Chakravarthy took the highest wickets for India in the Champions Trophy 2025. He took a total of 9 wickets in 3 matches with an average of 15.11. The mystery spinner came in the playing XI in the last league match and showed his skills with a five-wicket haul against New Zealand. He also took two crucial wickets, dismissing Travis Head and Ben Dwarshuis in the semi-final. In the final against New Zealand, he claimed the key wickets of Will Young and Glenn Phillips.
