India Squad for England Test Series 2025 Announced

The BCCI has officially announced Team India’s squad for the upcoming Indian tour of England 2025 for five Test matches. 25-year-old Shubman Gill has been named captain of India’s red-ball team, with wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant appointed as vice-captain. This marks the beginning of a new era in Indian Test cricket following the retirement of two giants, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

India Test Squad vs England 2025

On 24 May 2025, BCCI announced India’s squad for the upcoming England tour. Check out the squad below.

Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant (VC) (WK), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akashdeep, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav.

Shubman Gill will lead the team in England. Sai Sudharsan and Karun Nair have been added to the squad, rewarding their consistent performances in domestic cricket. Sai is in red-hot form in IPL 2025. However, Mohammed Shami has not been included in the squad for the series. Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace attack along with Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akashdeep, and Arshdeep Singh. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Shardul Thakur are likely to join the squad as all-rounders.
