India Masters defeat West Indies Masters by 6 wickets to win the IML 2025 title.

The International Masters League (IML) 2025 has concluded with a thrilling final in Raipur, with India Masters led by legendary Sachin Tendulkar emerging as champions. They defeated West Indies by 6 wickets to claim the title. After Vinay Kumar and Shahbaz Nadeem’s great performance with the ball to restrict West Indies Masters at 148, Ambati Rayudu’s explosive 75 runs off 50 balls ensured India chased down the target in just 17.1 overs.

India Masters performed exceptionally well throughout the IML 2025, where the team lost just one out of seven games. After finishing 2nd in the league stage points table with four victories in five games, the team beat Australia Masters in the 1st Semi-Final by 94 runs and defeated West Indies Masters by 6 wickets in the final to lift the trophy. Ambati Rayudu scored the most runs for India, 188 in 6 matches, followed by Sachin Tendulkar with 181 runs, while Pawan Negi became the highest wicket-taker for the team with 9 wickets in 6 matches.

India Masters vs West Indies Masters, IML 2025 Final Match Summary 

West Indies Masters won the toss and elected to bat first in the final. Dwayne Smith and Brian Lara come to open the inning, but Vinay Kumar got Lara early on just 6 runs, and William Perkins also fails to make an impact. After two early wickets, Smith and Lendle Simmons played well and took West Indies Masters’ total to 148 in 20 overs. Smith scored 48 runs off 35 balls while Simmons smashed a half-century. Vinay Kumar emerged as the most successful bowler from India with 3 wickets. 

While chasing the target of 149, India Masters’ openers Ambati Rayudu and Sachin Tendulkar started well. After a good opening partnership, Tendulkar got out on 25, and Gurkeerat Singh Mann managed to put up 14 runs at number 3. However, Rayudu continued his attack and put India in a strong position to win the match. He scored 74 runs in just 59 balls, including 3 sixes and 9 fours, and eventually India won the match by 6 wickets.
