KL Rahul has been associated with calm class and grace, and his batting style has proved it right. Facing the Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, KL Rahul brought his fifth century against Gujarat. Promoting himself in the batting order, KL came to bat at first and didn’t leave until he finished with 20 overs quota being bowled. He smashed a century off 60 balls and got to his century in a beautiful boundary shot to Prasidh Krishna in the 19th over.

Rahul etched his name in the history books once again as he brought up his fifth IPL Century in a spectacular fashion. Starting on a slow note, KLassy Rahul took time to build his innings and then took it to hitting a century in 60 balls. He reached the three-figure mark in style during the 19th over, pulling a short ball from Prasidh Krishna between deep square leg and mid-wicket for a boundary. The skipper took off his helmet to soak in the roaring applause, his eyes reflecting grit and purpose.

KL Rahul smashed the century in just 60 balls and reached the feat, smashing a total of 11 fours and 4 sixes. He then continued on building the innings for the team and finished unbeaten on 112 off 65 deliveries. Playing with a strike rate of 175, Rahul not only kept the playoffs alive but also became the first right-handed batter to score a century in the IPL 2025.  Rahul has now joined the list of elite clubs of Indian Batters with the most T20 centuries(7), standing alongside legends like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

65 balls faced by KL Rahul today is the most by a batter in this IPL season. 112* runs is also the highest individual score by any batter against GT, surpassing Suryakumar’s 103* at the Wankhede in the 2023 season. Scoring a century, KL Rahul also became the only Indian to score a century for three different franchises. He has smashed centuries while playing for DC, Punjab, and Lucknow.
