Jos Buttler, the key batter of Gujarat Titans, has smashed 20 runs off Mitchell Starc’s over with five consecutive boundaries in the match no. 35 of the IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. He scored 97 runs off 54 balls to help the Gujarat Titans win the match against the Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets.
While batting first, Delhi Capitals put up a good total of 203 in 20 overs, thanks to the combined contribution of the batting order, including good innings from KL Rahul, Axar Patel, Tristan Stubbs, and Ashutosh Sharma. However, Gujarat Titans chased down the target in 19.2 overs with the help of Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 97 runs off 54 balls and Shrefane Rutherford’s 43-run inning.

In the 15th over of the match, Jos Buttler welcomes the last match hero for Delhi Capitals, Mitchell Starc, with a four through covers. Later, the right-hand batter smashed four more boundaries in consecutive balls to put GT ahead in the game. However, Starc bowled a length around that led Buttler to stop the boundary count on the last ball and ended the over with 20 runs.

Thanks to his innings, Gujarat Titans won the match by 7 wickets to get the top position in the points table, and Buttler received the player of the match award for his outstanding performance.
With this win, Gujarat Titans have climbed up to the 1st position in the points table with five victories in seven games, followed by Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings with the same record.
