Digvesh Rathi, the new spinner of Lucknow Super Giants, dismissed Priyansh Arya in his first over against Punjab Kings and celebrated in a unique style. This celebration is a lot like the “Notebook Celebration,” which West Indian bowler Keshrick Williams used to do.
While batting first, Lucknow Super Giants put up a total of 171 in 20 overs, thanks to Nicholas Pooran’s 44 off 30 balls, Ayush Badonoi’s 41 off 33 balls, and attacking 27 of Abdul Samad at the end.

Priyansh Arya, the young opener of Punjab Kings, smashed a boundary on the first ball of Digvesh Rathi’s first over to deep midwicket, and on the next ball, Mitchell Marsh dropped the catch. However, at the second-to-last ball of the over, Arya tried to smash the ball but went straight to the hands of Shardul Thakur, and after he got the man, Digvesh came up with a notebook celebration.
Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first on the red soil surface of Ekana, Lucknow, against Lucknow Super Giants.
Lucknow Super Giants Playing XI: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant (c), Ayush Badoni, David Miller, Abdul Samad, Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Digvesh Rathi
Punjab Kings Playing XI: Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, Shreyas Iyer (c), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Shashank Singh, Suryansh Shedge, Marco Jansen, Yuzvendra Chahal, Lockie Ferguson, Arshdeep Singh
Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh come out to bat for LSG, but Arshdeep Singh sends Marsh back at a golden duck in his first over. However, Markram and Nicholas Pooran handled the inning well. Aiden Markram capitalized on the powerplay, scoring 28 runs off 18 balls before getting out to Ferguson. Rishabh Pant once again failed to impact as he got out to Maxwell on 2 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal removes Pooran on 44 runs off 30 balls to bring back PBKS into the match. However, the young lads of LSG, Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad, finished the match well by scoring 41 and 27 runs, respectively, to bring PBKS to 171 in 20 overs.
While chasing the 172, PBKS lost the early wicket of Priyansh Arya, but Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer managed well by attacking the LSG bowlers. Prabhsimran smashed 69 runs off 34 balls, including 9 fours and 3 sixes. At the time of writing, Nehal Waadhera joined the captain in the middle, and PBKS is moving towards a comfortable win.
