Watch: Ajinkya Rahane’s Blazing 50 Sets Eden Gardens on Fire in IPL 2025 Thriller

The thrilling high spectacle of the IPL 2025 is underway with the KKR vs RCB match at the iconic Eden Gardens. Hazelwood opened the attack with De Kock and Narine at the crease. Winning the toss, RCB captain Rajat Patidar opted to field leaving the purple army to bat first. Opening for the KKR, Narine and De Kock came on the crease. The match began with a drama and caught off with a little misfield moment from Suyash Sharma who missed an important catch of De Kock.

After the misfield, Josh Hazelwood took on the moment and dismissed De Kock on the next ball bringing fireworks for the team. Following the dismissal, Ajinkya the purple army captain entered the field and started to show up like dismissal never mattered.

Walking early on crease after Quinton de Kock dismissal against Josh Hazelwood, Ajinkya Rahane took charge of the innings displaying the perfect blend of stroke play and aggressive intent. Ajinkya started slow but soon switched the  gears with a flurry of boundaries.

He started strong against Rasikh Salam and punished him with a four and two towering sixes in a single oversetting his tone for the match. Rahane continued his innings against Yash Dayal smashing six over fine leg and a couple of well-placed boundaries, bringing up his 50-run partnership with Sunil Narine.

Ajinkya continued to attack the Red army bowlers with  back to back boundaries against Krunal Pandya, whom he dispatched  for a total of 15 runs and later brought another explosive attack to Yash Dayal over hitting back to back boundaries with fours and sixes with his bat. Rahane took on the responsibility on his shoulders and achieved his fifty feat off 26 balls.

As of writing, team stands at 107*2 with Ajinkya’s commanding knock of 55 for 29 balls! He is Playing with strike rate of 180, and has hit a total of six fours and 4 sixes.
