Sanjiv Goenka reacts to Rishabh Pant’s first IPL century for LSG; calls it a ‘Pant’astic Knock

Playing the last match of the season, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant bounced back in style and brought his first century of the season and smashing a total of 118 runs off 61 deliveries, being unbeaten. Pant rediscovered his touch in a sensational style and led the team to a strong total of 227 for 3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Ekana Stadium with the support of Mitchell Marsh.

Heading into this match, with poor form, Rishabh found his rhythm with calculated shots and perfect rhythm with perfect shots at the Ekana Stadium on Tuesday. Smashing a century, Pant ended his innings with 118* off 62 balls and smashed 11 fours and eight sixes. He stitched today’s high score innings with Mitchell Marsh, who contributed 67 to a partnership of 152 runs for the second wicket.

His explosive knock came today when the owner of the franchise, Sanjiv Goenka, was absent from the stands. Sanjiv has been in the stands throughout the season, but after the team got eliminated, he left the stands. Though he might not be there to witness the game for his team in the stands, he did watch it and was quick to respond on social media, sharing it on his Instagram and Twitter handle about the explosive knock of his captain.

Sanjiv took to Twitter and shared a post for Pant’s innings,“‘Pant’astic!” he wrote. He did not just stop with a Twitter post; he later took on his Instagram Handle and praised Rishabh for his explosive knock today.
