Royal Challengers Bengaluru extended their winning streak in home away games with a solid victory over Rajasthan Royals
RCB moved to third in IPL 2025 as Kohli-Salt duo chased 174 vs RR with ease, marking their fourth win, all away from home this season.

The 28th match of the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2025 saw Rajasthan Royals take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Batting first Rajasthan Royals posted a total of 173 in their innings, and coming on the chase, RCB opened with Virat Kohli and Phil Salt, who together contributed to the major part of the chasing score. It was their fourth win of the season, and all of them came away from their home ground.
Securing the win, RCB has now moved to the third spot. Opting to bowl, they restricted the Royals to 173/4 with their disciplined bowling. And coming on the chase, Kohli and Phil Salt built the momentum for Bengaluru and chased almost half of the score in just 10 overs of the RCB innings.

Virat Kohli, one of the legends of the game, not just reached his 100th fifty in the game but also helped his team secure a win against the Royals. Kohli and Phil Salt gave a blazing start, putting a dominant opening stand of 92 runs in just 8.4 overs. Salt led the innings and smashed 65 runs off 33 deliveries, including five fours and six sixes. Phil Salt set the tone for the Powerful RCB innings, and later, after Salt’s dismissal, Kohli led with another partnership from Devdutt Padikkal.
Virat Kohli also made sure that he stayed unbeaten and took RCB over the line in the run chase of 174. He made unbeaten 62 off 45 balls, and RCB now have four wins in six matches of IPL 2025. The duo managed the remaining needed runs where Kohli contributed 62 and 40 taking the team to the win by 9 wickets.
