The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will be played at the new venue now and will be played on 24th May 2025. After the ceasefire announced between the two countries, the IPL governing body and BCCI has released a new schedule and now the match venue for the PBKS vs DC match has been shifted to the Sawai Mansingh stadium and it won’t be played at the old venue that is HPCA Ground Dharamsala.
Earlier, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was scheduled at the HPCA ground and was suspended midway after the tensions between India and Pakistan. The match was put on hold after 10.1 overs during the Punjab Kings innings. Now that the match between the teams will be completely replayed at a new venue at Jaipur on May 24, this match could play a pivotal role in determining the IPL 2025. Due to a 10-day break, the game will restart from scratch instead of resuming mid-way, as Dharamsala is no longer a venue. Punjab Kings’ two matches originally scheduled there have been shifted to Jaipur, including one against Rajasthan Royals.
BCCI has confirmed that they decided to proceed with the tournament ‘after extensive consultations with government and security agencies, and with all the key stakeholders.’ A total of 17 matches will be held across six venues, with the final scheduled to be played on June 3. The venues for the playoff matches will be revealed later.
