The underdog of the Indian cricket team, KL Rahul, is the most underrated player in the T20 format. Playing for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League’s match 60, Rahul entered his name in the history of records and became the fastest Indian to score 8000 runs in T20 Cricket.
Facing Gujarat Titans in the 12th league stage match, the Delhi batter needed just 33 runs to complete 8000 runs in T20 and playing a stable innings he achieved the objective hitting Kagiso Rabada for a six on the fifth ball of the DC’s inning making it the one of the best six of the IPL 2025.
Becoming the fastest Indian player to score 8000 runs, KL recorded this in just 224 innings and also became the only Indian to score this under 230 runs. Rahul is currently the third player to score the Fastest to 8000 runs in T20s (by innings). Overall, Chris Gayle is the fastest player to score the 8000 runs in the format with 213 innings, followed by Babar Azam 218 innings.
