IPL 2025: KKR vs LSG match shifted from Kolkata to Guwahati

KKR vs LSG game on 6th April shifted to Guwahati due to Ram Navami celebrations in Kolkata.

KKR vs LSG, the 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 which was supposed to be played at Eden Gardens Kolkata on 6th April has now been shifted to Guwahati. The venue change comes after local authorities and police were not in a position to provide security due to Ram Navami.

KKR vs LSG match shifted from Kolkata to Guwahati

Due to the Ram Navami on 6th April, police and local authorities informed the Cricket Association of Bengal officials that they won’t be able to provide security to the KKR vs LSG match on the same day.

“We have informed the BCCI to reschedule the match, but there is no scope for rescheduling the game in the city later and I’m now hearing that it’s going to be shifted to Guwahati,” Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Ganguly told PTI.

This means the Kolkata Knight Riders will get a game short at their home, Eden Gardens Kolkata. This fixture will now be played at ACA Stadium in Guwahati which is located in Guwahati, Assam. Notably, this is the home of Rajasthan Royals in IPL. The stadium is also called Barsapara Cricket Stadium.
