IPL 2025: Josh Hazlewood Set to Return for RCB

According to the reports, the key pacer of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Josh Hazlewood, is set to return as IPL 2025 is resuming from 17 May. Earlier reports suggested that several Australian players, including Josh Hazlewood, might miss the remaining matches of the season. However, according to a recent update by News24, Hazlewood is now set to make his return.

IPL 2025: Josh Hazlewood Set to Return for RCB

According to News24, Josh Hazlewood is all set to join RCB for the remainder of IPL 2025. Earlier, many were unsure about Pacer’s return as he has been a key player in RCB’s pace attack.

The 34-year-old took 18 wickets in 10 matches for RCB in IPL 2025 with an average of 17.27 and an economy of 8.44.

IPL 2025 was suspended for a week by BCCI due to the India-Pakistan conflict, but now, after the ceasefire, the league is all set to resume on 17th May with the RCB vs KKR match.

About RCB vs KKR 

Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to take on Kolkata Knight Riders in match 58 as IPL 2025 is set to resume on 17th May. RCB are almost through to the playoffs with 16 points from their first 11 matches. Meanwhile, KKR must win both of their remaining games and rely on the outcome of other matches to secure a spot in the top four. The match will be an exciting contest with both teams featuring players like Sunil Narine, Virat Kohli, Varun Chakravarthy, Rajat Patidar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane, and Andre Russell.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently sitting in the 2nd position in the points table with eight wins in 11 matches. They are almost qualified for the playoffs with 16 points already, now their main aim will be to finish in the top 2.

On the other hand, after losing the last match to Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders can’t reach the 16-point mark. The team is currently standing in 16th place with 11 points in 12 matches. They need to win both of their remaining matches and rely on the outcome of other matches to secure a spot in the top four.
