Aniket Verma, SRHs new Rising Star Gears Up for IPL 2025 with blazing 46 Off 15 Balls

Aniket Verma, a new SRH recruit, is set for IPL 2025 and is currently sweating in the net practice sessions of the team. Verma was bought for an amount of INR 30 Lakhs in the IPL Mega Auction last year by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Aniket came into the limelight with his explosive, fiery knock from the intra squad match. He smashed 46 runs in just 15  balls, an unexpected knock delivered by the batter. With many big legends in his team, no one expected the small star to trouble the bowlers with his knock.

Finishing the IPL 2024 as runner-ups, SRH is looking for a stronger Squad this year, and the inclusion of this batter in the team can surely lift the Playing XI of the team. With him in the team, SRH has also picked up Ishan Kishan, who will also be seen in the orange jersey this year.

Who is Aniket Verma?

Aniket Verma is a 23-year-old batter from Uttar Pradesh who plays right-handed and mostly performs batting duties. Aniket hasn’t been involved in major cricket tournaments but has recently been picked up by the Orange army SRH and has also been part of the Madhya Pradesh team in domestic cricket.

He has only played a Single T20 match in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25 against Hyderabad at Rajkot stadium. The batter didn’t perform well in the match, but his recent batting performance has raised the bar of expectations from the fans.

Cricket Career of Aniket Verma:

Aniket, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, chose to bat for Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket. He first rose to fame when he emerged as the highest run-getter in the five matches of the MPPL- Madhya Pradesh Premier League. Verma played for the Bhopal Leopards in the twenty-over tournament and finished the innings with an average of 61 and a strike rate of 205.4.

Aniket hasn’t played much cricket and is just beginning his career. He has just played a single match in the domestic season for Madhya Pradesh and now is off for big innings from IPL 2025.
