Angkrish Raghuvanshi fires 50 off 31 balls after KKR’s early wickets against SRH

Notably, this is his second IPL half-century, coming on April 3. Interestingly, his maiden fifty also came on the same day in 2024.

The 20-year-old middle-order batter of Kolkata Knight Riders, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, smashed his first fifty of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad in match no. 15 of the IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The 20-year-old resumes his team with a great inning after losing both the openers under powerplay. 

Coming in at number four, Rangkrish Raghuvanshi managed the inning well with captain Ajinkya Rahane after two early wickets, but once he got set, the right-hand batter showcased his skills with effortless hitting. He scored 50 runs off 32 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes, before Kamindu Mendis got him in the 13th over of the match. Notably, this is his second IPL half-century, coming on April 3. Interestingly, his maiden fifty also came on the same day in 2024.

Sunrisers Hyderabad started amazingly well as Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami removed Kolkata Knight Riders’ openers Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine on 1 and 7 runs, respectively. However, captain Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi managed the inning well. Rahane got out to Zeeshan Ansari on 38 runs off 27 balls, while Raghuvanshi smashed a fifty off 32 balls. At the time of writing, KKR is at 130 in 16 overs, with Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh looking for a good total.
