The Men In Blue wins! And the moment is etched in history. Hammering a victory over New Zealand for runs, India brings back the title to home after a wait of a long 12 years. 

The Indian team entered the field carrying the hopes of billions of hearts for the Champions Trophy final, and after a knock of formidable batting and middle order stability, India won the final by 4 Wickets and has registered themselves as unbeaten.

The Kiwis won the toss and opted to bat on a spinner-friendly pitch at the Dubai Stadium. Starting strong with Will Young and Rachin Rvaindra’s partnership, the black caps were leading one front. But soon, the bowling attack of men in blue came into action and not just dismantled the batters but also took the game on their side.

Coming on the chasing front, India started strong with Hitman Rohit Sharma hitting boundaries. He took the match to a winning end single-handedly but then lost the wicket to Rachin Ravindra after hitting 76 for 83 deliveries. Stabilizing the middle order, Shreyas took the onus upon himself and continued to build a partnership with Axar Patel. The final nail to Winning Coffin was added by Ravindra Jadeja with a boundary hit for a four.
