Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14 years and 23 days old, becomes the youngest player to play in the IPL. He’s on the Royals’ impact sub list against Lucknow Super Giants and is expected to come in when they bat, considering Parag mentioned the change during the toss.
Suryanshi replaced Sanju Samson, but is kept in the list of Impact player list of the Rajasthan Royals. Making his debut against LSG, this younger player was signed by the RR in the Mega auction for Rs 1.10 crore.
Who is Vaibhav Suryavanshi?
Hailing from Samastipur, Suryavanshi made history with his extraordinary achievements in the domestic season. 14-year-old Vaibhav rose to the limelight in 2024 when he played in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Bihar at the age of 12, accumulating around 400 runs in just five matches.
Vaibhav has played five first-class matches and one T20 game for Bihar. He has 100 runs to his name in 5 FC matches, 41 being the highest. He has only 13 runs in the lone T20 in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Rajasthan. The Southpaw made his first-class debut in January 2024 in a Ranji Trophy elite match against Mumbai
