Yuzvendra Chahal, the highest wicket-taker in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, has added another milestone to his name by taking his second hat-trick in the tournament. In the 49th match of the IPL 2025 against CSK, the leg spinner sent back Deepak Hooda, Anshul Kamboj, and Noor Ahmed in three balls to complete his second hat-trick in IPL.

In the 49th match of the IPL 2025 against CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Yuzvendra Chahal took his second hat-trick. In the 19th over of the match, he took 4 wickets after conceding six off the first ball.

On the second ball of the over, Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed MS Dhoni with a leg-break outside off. On the third ball, new batter Deepak Hooda took two runs. The fourth delivery was floated outside off, and Hooda stepped out looking to go inside-out, but it went straight to the fielder at point. On the fifth ball, Chahal floated one on middle, and Anshul Kamboj missed it completely while trying to whip it leg-side; the ball crashed into the stumps. Two balls, two wickets for Yuzi. On the final ball, Noor Ahmed lofted it high in the air, and Marco Jansen completed the catch, giving Yuzvendra Chahal his second hat-trick in the IPL.
