Following his match-winning knock against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Virat Kohli shared a heartfelt moment with his childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma. Virat Kohli, who played a steady innings of 51(47) against DC, helped his team recover from an early collapse of their top-order batters.
Kohli, along with Krunal Pandya, chased the score and formed a massive 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket. As a result of the duo’s innings, RCB easily chased down the target of 163 runs in 18.3 overs and secured a win by 6 wickets.
After the game and a successful sixth half century in this IPL season, Kohli enjoyed the homecoming innings at the Delhi stadium. And his mentor, Rajkumar Sharma, was right there at the stadium to support his dear student on the field. After the match, Kohli met his coach and also touched his feet. The two hugged each other and shared a short chit-chat before Sharma playfully punched Kohli in the Belly, congratulating him for the fifty.

In a Post-match interview, Virat Kohli spoke about the win and said, “It was a top win, especially looking at the surface. We saw a few games here and this wicket played out differently compared to those. Whenever there’s a chase on, I keep checking with the dugout, whether we’re on course, what is my role, what kind of innings I need to play. “We were uner pressure, 3 for 25-26 and then me and Krunal getting a century partnership. He was outstanding today with the bat, he can make that impact and we were just waiting for him to come into this tournament with the bat as well,” he added as per ESPNcricinfo.
Winning against Delhi Capitals, RCB continued their away win streak and registered their sixth win of the six away games. With a win here, RCB is now placed at the top of the points table with 7 wins and 14 points.
