In a high-end thriller of Rivalry week, Kolkata Knight Riders are taking on Lucknow Super Giants at their home ground, Eden Gardens. Winning the toss, KKR invited LSG to bat first. Coming to bat, Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram opened the batting for Lucknow. 

Batting first, Mitchell Marsh brought an impressive display of power hitting and put LSG in a good position with a fiery knock against KKR. Opening the innings with Markram, Marsh navigated the LSG’s innings and took his time building the initial momentum. He started slow and then launched an all-out assault on the KKR bowling unit, dismantling both pace and spin bowlers.

Mitchell Marsh Dominates KKR vs LSG Clash

Mitchell Marsh has been a consistent performer for Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing IPL season so far. Coming for this clash, Marsh added another fifty to his tally, making it his third half-century in the last four matches.

He brought up the milestone his half century in style in the 11th over with a boundary off Harshit Rana, reaching the milestone in 36 balls. He continued with his power and precision. Marsh dominated the middle overs of LSG’s innings, playing aggressive shots especially against Spencer Johnson and Vaibhav Arora.

After hitting fifty, Marsh formed a partnership with Nicholas Pooran, putting together a 52-run stand off just in 19 balls. At the time of writing, Marsh has reached 77 off just 43 balls and has smashed a total of 7 fours and 6 sixes with a strike rate of 179.09. Playing another masterstroke, Marsh set the perfect platform for LSG to put a mammoth score total on the board.
