Watch: Kamindu Mendis pulls Off an unbelievable Catch to Dismiss Dewald Brevis 

Chennai Super Kings are facing Sunrisers Hyderabad at their own home ground MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, in match 43 of the ongoing IPL 2025. Winning the toss, visitors invited CSK to bat and opted to field.

Playing first, Shaik Rasheed and Ayush Matre opened the batting for Chennai, and Mohammed Shami opened the attack for Sunrisers. He bowled the first delivery and dismissed Shaik Rasheed on the very first delivery. Dismissing him, he recorded another record and became the first bowler in IPL history to pick up a wicket on the first ball of an IPL innings four times. 

CSK struggled to make an impact and fell short, losing their opening partnership. They got a bit of stability with the innings of Dewald Brevis, but soon he was also dismissed in the most unbelievable way at Chepauk.

Playing his first match of the season, Brevis was in beast mode for CSK against SRH. Coming in on the field under pressure, he lit up Chepauk with his powerful knock of 42 off just 25 balls. He was on fire and smashed 4 sixes and a four during his innings. He just began to turn the match in CSK’s favor, but just when he seemed set for a game-changing fifty, the moment of the match or perhaps the whole of the tournament arrived. Kamindu Mendis, stationed at long off took the most unbelievable full-stretch dive catch. 

The moment unfolded in the 13th over when Harshal Patel bowled a full delivery outside off-stump, Brevis who was in explosive form went for air delivery and almost achieved it, but then Kamindu who was stationed at boundary pulled off a sensational diving catch.
