Watch: Josh Hazelwood joins RCB for the IPL 2025

Good news for the RCB fans as the star batter Josh Hazelwood joins RCB Camps ahead of the injury reports. RCB released a video of player joining in for the IPL squad 2025.

Earlier the player was set to miss a few matches of the 2025 season because of Injury. Playing in the Border Gavaskar Trophy Hazelwood suffered a strain and later a hip injury which led to him missing the Champions Trophy 2025. Finally, after a clearance from the BCCI, he is ready to join the RCB squad and will be seen boosting the bowling unit of the Royal Challenger Bengaluru.

After being declared fit, Josh Hazelwood has come to India and is set to join the team ahead of the practice sessions. RCB has released a video of him joining the squad where the player can be seen walking on the stairs and then meeting the RCB squad Members. And was also seen waiving the RCB flag saying, better late than never.

Josh hasn’t played much cricket in recent times and has been away from the cricket scene following his injuries. RCB should really focus on his workload management and keep him safe for the main games as he is injury prone. He is definitely a worthy addition to the bowling squad and carries the potential to handle pressure filled matches, so keeping him fit would decide how the bowling department perform this season.

Josh, RCB and IPL 2025

Royal Challengers are opening the IPL Season for the 2025 and will play the inaugural match of the season against the defending champions KKR on March 22, 2025. The match is scheduled to be played on Kolkata grounds at Eden Gardens.

RCB bought the Aussie Spinner for a whopping amount of 12.5 crore making him one of the most expensive overseas buys of the season. With the thought of utilizing the abilities of Josh, Franchise included him in the squad for 2025. Hazelwood is a new ball specialist and can deliver magical performances in the powerplay. Other than this, He can also be utilized in the middle order as the other spinners of the squad aren’t that apt for the middle-order innings.
