The amazing form of Virat Kohli continues as he scored a half-century against Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final, chasing the total of 265 in Dubai. Regarded as the “King of Cricket,” he once again showcased his class on the big stage, reaching his half-century with a boundary. His wife, Anushka Sharma, who is often seen supporting him from the stands, reacted with claps and a standing ovation to celebrate the milestone.

Anushka Sharma is often seen supporting Virat during his matches. She has been supporting him and the Indian team throughout the tournament. Virat Kohli reaches his half-century against Australia in the semi-final by hitting a four off Adam Zampa, and Anushka gave a standing ovation with claps for the one more milestone achieved by the batter. 

While batting first, Australia put up a total of 264 thanks to Steven Smith and Alex Carey’s half centuries. Smith scored 73 runs off 96 balls while Carey played attackingly with 61 runs off 57 balls, including 8 fours and 1 six. Mohammad Shami emerged as the most successful bowler for India with 3 wickets of Cooper Connolly, Steven Smith, and Nathan Ellis. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja both took 2 wickets each, while Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel got 1 each. 

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill come to chase starts steadily, but both got out under the powerplay. Rohit scored 28 runs off 29 balls while Gill managed to score only 8 runs. However, Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli manage the inning ahead with a great partnership. 

At the time of writing India is on 158/3, Virat is looking solid with 60 not out off 68 balls and Axar Patel joins him in the middle after Shreyas got out on 45 runs to Zampa.
