The thriller show soon turned into heartfelt moments when the player received a video call from his mentor for bringing up the exploding batting prowess on the field. After a stunned knock of 66 off 31 balls Ashutosh delivered his team a sensational victory over Lucknow and dedicated his innings to his mentor Shikhar Dhawan. Soon after the win, Shikhar called his student and chatted over Video Call giving fans some heartfelt moments.

Sealing the victory over Lucknow, Ashutosh was awarded the Player of the Match award in the award ceremony which he dedicated to his mentor Dhawan.“Want to dedicate this award to my mentor Shikhar paaji,” the allrounder said while speaking at the post-match presentation.

After this Ashutosh went to the dressing room and was seen having a chit chat with the mentor on the video call. “He was really happy. Love you paaji,” Ashutosh was seen saying in the video shared by DC. The duo seemed happy and Ashutosh couldn’t stop thanking him for all the lessons and his congratulatory messages.

Ashutosh who was earlier seen struggling to time the ball went high on run chase later scored the match-winning unbeaten 66(31) leading the team to record an opener match win in their favor.
