Virat Kohli announced his test cricket retirement on Monday and ended his long 14-years career. His journey has been a long consistent and full of remarkable milestones, he has played a total of 123 Test matches and scored 9230 runs in the red ball format with an average of 46.85.

Kohli expressed his desire to retire from the format earlier this week and communicated to the BCCI about his decision to retire from the longest format of the game. The board initially asked the player to reconsider his decision and then revert to the same. However, after a long discussion with the BCCI and several influential figures, Virat Kohli has finally decided to retire from Test cricket on May 12.
