Sunrisers Hyderabad sign Harsh Dubey as injury replacement for Smaran Ravichandran

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) signed Harsh Dubey as an injury replacement for Smaran Ravichandran for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Struggling SRH faced another blow to their campaign as S Ravichandran was ruled out of the IPL 2025 due to injury. Smaran who earlier replaced Adam Zampa in squad will now be replaced by Ranji Player, Harsh Dubey.

Dubey was signed for a base price of 30 Lakhs and will now play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2025. He is an all-rounder and plays for Vidarbha in Domestic Cricket, has 127 wickets and 941 runs against his name from 16 T20s, 20 List A, and 18 First-Class matches he has played. He has picked up 97 wickets and has played a total of 18 first-class matches. In his T20 career, Dubey has played 16 T20 Matches and has picked 9 wickets with an economy of 6.78.

SRH have won just three of their ten games so far and are in ninth place on the points table. Even if they win their remaining four games, they can only get to 14 points, which will not be enough to qualify for the playoffs. After even winning the next four clashes, they have to be dependent on the other teams to keep the playoff hopes alive, and for that to happen, the top teams must lose their next 2-3 clashes, which seems quite impossible at this moment. SRH’s next game is at home in Hyderabad against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Monday evening.
