Shreyas Iyer Named ICC Player of the Month for March 2025

On Tuesday, Indian Cricketer Shreyas Iyer was awarded the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for March. He has been honored with this award for his Champions Trophy heroic performances and leading India’s run charts. Finishing as the highest run scorer, he has surpassed competition from New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra.

Shreyas’ consistent batting performances have earned him this award. In March alone, he scored 172 runs with a strike rate of 77.47 and an average of 57.33. He has been a middle-order blessing for the Men in Blue and proved to be a defining factor in the team’s Champions Trophy triumph.

Shreyas Iyer also played a key role in India’s Champions Trophy triumph, scoring 79 vs New Zealand in the group stage, 45 in the semi-final vs Australia, and 48 in the final against New Zealand. Iyer’s victory of this award means that India have won the award back-to-back, with Shubman Gill winning the award for February.
