Shikhar Dhawan Confirms Being in Love: Hints at Relationship with Irish Beauty Sophie Shine

Yes, Shikhar Dhawan has found love once again and has moved on from his difficult divorce. After going through tough divorce times in 2023 with ex wife Aesha Mukerji, the cricketer has now moved forward and was spotted with a mystery woman at the Champions Trophy League stage match between India and Bangladesh in Dubai, and fans were quick enough to identify her as Sophie Shine. 

Speculations about his love life began even before the CT match when the star was spotted with a woman in November 2024. But now, the former cricketer has finally put an end to the rumors around his love life and confirmed his relationship status to his fans. Speaking at the Times Now Summit 2025, Dhawan revealed that he is in a relationship but refrained from naming her directly. While he chose not to disclose her identity, fans and all social media buzz already seem to know who she is. It is the Irish beauty Sophie Shine who blushed at Dhawan’s response.

Speaking at the Times summit 2025, when asked about his love life or his relationship status, Shikhar Dhawan confirmed the relationship rumors around him. Also he shared how his past emotional traumatic life has shaped him to get better at relationships. “Yes, I have moved on. I wouldn’t say I was unlucky in love— rather, my choices came from inexperience. But now, I have experience, and that will come in handy. It was a learning curve for me,” Dhawan said.

On being asked if he is ready to love again, he replied, “I am always in love!” However, being probed about her, the cricketer replied in a witty manner and refrained from naming her directly. But he did give hints that lead to Sophie Shine.

He playfully answered, “See, I know how to dodge bouncers in in cricket, and I know you’re throwing one at me now. But I won’t get caught. I will not take any name. But the most beautiful girl in the room is my girlfriend. Now you can figure it out.” After he finished the anchors’ Q&A, all cameras were seen shifting to Sophie Shine, who was indeed blushing to Dhawan’s response, confirmed by video, doing rounds on the internet.
