Rishabh Pant’s Struggles Continue as Maxwell Dismisses Him for the 3rd Time

Glen Maxwell continued with his fiery bowling spell and ensured an impactful innings for his team. The match between LSG and Punjab is underway at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Earlier the bowling unit of Punjab dismissed the top batting orders, including wickets of Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh in the powerplay, and coming in the hunt for a new wicket, Glenn Maxwell took the third man down of LSG.

Maxwell dismissed skipper Rishabh Pant for another not so impactful innings and put on another disappointing show for Rishabh. Rishabh Pant who has been bought by LSG for 27 crore is looking for a good IPL start and was dismissed for another flop show.

Another Flop Show in IPL 2025, as Pant Fails to Deliver!

Struggling with his form, the LSG skipper, also the costliest player of the IPL 2025 season, is looking to build an impactful innings and came on the field with the same dreams in his eyes. But when the match unfolded, LSG faced an early setback as the main batters of the team departed cheaply after being put to bat. Mitchell Marsh departed in the first over, following which Lockie Ferguson dismissed Aiden Markram, who was trying to build a good score on board. After this early dismissal, Rishabh Pant made his way to the crease in the hope of staying for a longer time on the field. However, Pant’s stay was brief as he managed to score just two runs before falling to Glenn Maxwell.

Maxwell bowled a length delivery down the leg side, and Pant had a chance to hit it anywhere, but the captain missed it and mistimed it with his pull shot and ended up giving a simple catch to Yuzvendra Chahal at the short fine leg. This soft dismissal will surely disappoint Pant, as his poor form with the bat continues this season. With this, Maxwell has now dismissed Pant three times in four innings, proving to be a consistent challenge for him.
