The Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians Qualifier 2 is being played amidst the rain interruptions and has been delayed due to rain. Earlier, the match was scheduled to start at 7:30 PM, but rain started before the match hour, and the pitch was put under the covers.

Slow drizzles started right after the toss, and the match was delayed for an uncertain time. However, it started to slow down within some time, but as soon as the batters were set to take on the pitch, the downpour intensified.  With rain pouring down at the venue, there is only one question on everyone’s mind: What is the cut-off time for a full 20-over match to take place?

Cut-off time for PBKS vs MI Qualifier 2

With rain playing spoilsport at the Narendra Modi Stadium, fans are eagerly waiting for the start of the match between PBKS vs MI. Talking of the cut-off time for the Qualifier 2 match with rain threats, the cut-off time for a full 20-over per side was set to be 9:30, which is exactly 120 minutes after the toss. If the match doesn’t start on time, we will start losing overs with each minute in delay. The match is super important because whoever wins goes straight to the final, while the loser gets knocked out and their IPL 2025 Journey ends.

The game started off with PBKS Captain Shreyas Iyer winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. But soon after the toss happened and players were set to take on the field, rain showed up and delayed the actual start of the game. If the rain stops and the field is good to play on, the match can still start before 9:30 with all 20 overs per side. But if it goes past that time, the number of overs will start getting cut. IPL Officials have up to 120 minutes to work with in the case as cut-off time for the Knockout matches is rain keeps causing delays.
