Men in Green are facing the Kiwis in the ongoing Pakistan Tour of New Zealand and today is the second T20 match of the ongoing Bilateral series between the two countries.

Facing New Zealand, Pakistan continued with their poor batting innings and was seen in trouble. Winning the toss New Zealand opted to bowl first leading the men in green to take on the batting duties. Coming for the batting Pakistan opened with Mohammed Haris and Hasan Nawaz.

Coming from a terrible performance in the first match, where Pakistan ended the innings with just 91 runs, the team planned for good innings in this match but failed to make an impact as things didn’t go as planned and the top order of the team left the ground in just 4 overs with score 19/2. Mohammad Haris again failed to bring an impact and got dismissed with a clueless shot which directly ended in the hands of Jacob Duffy at the third man.

Mohammad Haris Falls Cheaply Again – A Dismissal to Forget

Bean Sears made an immediate impact by dismissing Mohammad Haris on the first ball. The delivery was short and wide outside off, tempting Haris to go for a big slash. But missing on the timings, he failed to get the needed elevation and the ball went directly to the Third man where Jacob Duffy took a reverse-cup Catch.  With his dismissal, Pakistan is again in trouble. He only managed to score 11 runs off 10 balls including two boundaries before getting dismissed by Bean Sears.

PAK vs NZ 2nd T20I

At the time of writing, Pakistan is trying to build a competitive total against New Zealand and is at 83/5 with Shadab Khan and Abdul Samad at the crease. The duo is trying to build momentum and stabilize the innings for the greens. Salman Agha has been a standout performer so far contributing 46 runs while the rest of the batting lineup struggled and fell cheaply. Given the score on the board and the previous loss to NZ,  Pakistan will need a strong fightback if they want to stay in the series.
