The Pakistan Cricket Board is preparing to resume the Pakistan Super League by May 17, aiming to finish the tournament before Bangladesh’s T20 Series later this month. Franchises have been asked to recall their players, and if they refuse to come for the remainder of the league, PCB is planning to resume the league with or without the participation of overseas players due to Financial issues. “The PSL administration needed to complete its season due to financial matters,” the sources revealed.
Initially, PCB considered relocating the league to United Arab Emirates grounds due to security concerns, but the Emirates Cricket Board rejected the plea of the board, forcing them to suspend the league and, with new development, start the league at their home ground. The remaining fixtures are expected to be held in Karachi and Islamabad.
