Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Vaibhav for the way he has begun his IPL Career and called him ‘Son of Bihar’ during the inauguration of Khelo Indian Youth Games on Sunday. He highlighted his incredible knock of 108 off 35 balls against the Gujarat Titans.

Modi specially mentioned Vaibhav’s explosive knock in his video and has praised him for working hard on his craft which helped him gain such a big platform at such a young age. The 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi who hails from Samastipur of Bihar became an internet sensation when he smashed a 108 for just 38 balls and became the youngest T20 Centurion in the world. “I have seen in the IPL, the son of Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s spectacular performance. At such a young age, Vaibhav has set such a great record. There is a lot of hard work behind Vaibhav’s performance,” Modi said in his address.

“To bring his talent to the forefront, he has played many matches at different levels. The more you play, the more you will shine. Competing in matches and competitions as much as possible is very important. The NDA government has always given it the highest priority in its policies.
