Along with KL,  Young talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan are expected to miss out, with selectors favoring more settled players like Abhishek Sharma, who have shown greater consistency in the format.

Additionally, fitness concerns for players like Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav mean their final participation will depend on the medical clearance from the NCA. Rishabh Pant is confirmed to miss the Asia Cup because of his recent foot injury.
