The defending champions, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), are set to play their last two matches in the WPL 2025 league stage. After losing all of their home matches, the team is stuck in a situation where they must win all their matches and hope for the other matches’ results to go their way to qualify for the playoffs.
RBC is currently ranked 4th in the table with two victories in six matches. They will play their next two matches against UP Warriors on Saturday and will clash with Mumbai Indians on 11 March.
How RCB can still qualify for the WPL 2025 playoffs
Royal Challengers Bangalore have a very tough road to the playoffs from here. They are currently standing at 4th in the table with a total of four points in six matches. Means they can only reach up to eight points by winning their remaining two league matches.
To qualify for the playoffs, RCB must win their match against UP Warriors on Saturday and must try to win it by a good margin to improve their net run rate. After this match, they need to hope that the Mumbai Indians defeat the Gujarat Giants on March 10.
If both results go their way, then RCB’s playoffs qualification chances will be in their own hands, as then they need to beat Mumbai Indians in their last league game of the WPL 2025 and ensure their net run rate stays above GG’s to secure a spot in the WPL 2025 playoffs.
