Mayank Yadav likely to join LSG for IPL 2025 in mid-April

Mayank Yadav, the 22-year-old pacer who was retained by Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction in November for INR 11 crore, is set to miss the initial matches of the season as he is recovering from his injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). However, the good news for LSG fans is the fast bowler has already started bowling at NCA and is expected to join the squad in mid-April. 

Notably, Mayank has played just four matches in IPL in 2024 for LSG, but his amazing skills and ability to bowl at 150+ km/h regularly grab attention quickly. In four matches he took 7 wickets with an average of 12.14 and an economy of 6.98. Thanks to this amazing performer in 2024, LSG retained him for INR 11 crore.

Mayank Yadav likely to join LSG for IPL 2025 in mid-April

According to My Khel, Mayank Yadav has already begun bowling at NCA and is likely to join the IPL 2025 in a few weeks. 

“Mayank has already started to bowl and looking good to play in the IPL in a few weeks time,” a source told My Khel. 

Lucknow Super Giants, led by Rishabh Pant, will play two matches in March against Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad and go against Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Gujarat Titans in the first two weeks of April. 

Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khna are also recovering from injuries 

Along with Mayank Yadav, two key India pacers of LSG are also recovering from injuries and likely to miss the initial matches. Avesh is reportedly dealing with knee cartilage and has an undisclosed injury.
