Lord’s to Host the Final of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 as ECB Confirms Full List of Venues
England to host ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 across 7 cities. Final at Lord’s on July 5 promises a historic cricket showdown.

The wait for the Women World venues is over as the venues for the thrilling women cricket event has been announced. A total of seven venues have been decided for the tournament. The England Cricket Board announced on Thursday that the Women’s T20 World Cup Final will be played on the ground of the Lord. The final of the Women’s World Cup will take place on July 5, 2026.
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to start in the next year. The tournament will begin on June 12, 2026 and will finally conclude on July 5, 2026. This T20 World Cup will be featured on 7 different venues and will be a competition between the 12 countries.
Confirming the details around the venues of the tournament, the hosts, England, announced the venues on May 1 during a launch event at Lord’s. Seven venues have been confirmed to host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup next year in England, with the final match scheduled on the grounds of Lord’s Stadium. Alongside Lord’s, it was also revealed that Edgbaston, Hampshire Bowl, Headingley, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, The Oval, and Bristol County Ground will host matches during the tournament.
“It is one of the finest venues in world cricket and every cricketer dreams of being part of occasions like a World Cup final at Lord’s,” ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould said in a statement.
“This will be the biggest women’s cricket event ever staged in England and Wales and is undoubtedly an opportunity to take the game to more people than ever before.”
2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup
ICC will host the tournament from 12 June to 5 July and will be played in the T20 format. Scheduled to be played on England grounds, this tournament will see a total of 12 participants for the first time. The 12 teams are split into two groups of 6. Each team plays against every other team in its group, making 15 matches in total. The top 2 teams from each group move on to the knockout stage.
Eight countries have secured their places in the tournament, and the remaining four teams will be decided through qualifying next year. The qualified eight teams for the event included – hosts England, Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and West Indies
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 venues
Seven venues have been confirmed for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Lord’s Cricket Ground, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Headingley, Edgbaston, Hampshire Bowl, The Oval, and Bristol County Ground will host matches during the tournament.
Lord’s, which was also the venue for the thrilling final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup between England and India in 2017, will host the final on the 5 July 2026.

The sell-out Women’s Cricket World Cup final at Lord’s in 2017 remains a landmark in the rise of the women’s game, and I cannot think of a more fitting stage for the final.
“As we turn our focus to preparing for the tournament, we are excited by the promise of thrilling T20 action that will not only captivate fans here but also serve as a showcase for cricket’s return on the Olympic stage in Los Angeles 2028.”
