IPL 2025: RCB Fans to pay Test Tribute to Virat Kohli at M Chinnaswamy during RCB vs KKR

Virat Kohli, the legendary Cricketer who announced his retirement from Test Cricket on Monday, 12 May, will be given a heartfelt Test tribute by his fans at M Chinnaswamy during the upcoming RCB vs KKR IPL Match on 17 May. Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) fans are calling out all supporters to turn up in Test whites for the next RCB match. In a fan-led movement, RCB fans have asked the other fans to ditch the original Red RCB jersey for the home match for the India Test Jersey or a plain white T-shirt.

ALL Whites Tribute for King Kohli

With the sudden, unexpected announcement of King Kohli’s test retirement, RCB IPL franchise and their fans are making special plans for their ‘King’ in the next franchise match to acknowledge his contributions with a special gesture. In a fan-led initiative, One X user, who was  believed to start the movement, shared an emotional appeal online saying, “Bengaluru guys, you have one job to do — SPREAD THE WORD.” He further urged fans to wear Test White to the stadium as a symbolic and heartfelt gesture to honor Virat Kohli’s Test Career. And for those who don’t have Test Whites, the user said a simple white will also work.

“He made so many of us fall in love with Test cricket, and even though I’ll never get to see him play in whites live, I just want him to know how deeply loved he was in his favourite format,” the post read.

“Please think about it and help us make it real. It would mean the world to many of us. I even made a template. I also think we can raise fund to give away the jerseys outside Chinnaswamy. That’s our best chance. Even if not jerseys plain white t-shirts should do,” the post further read.

The idea of the gesture gained traction online, with many fans and users supporting the idea of the simple gesture to honor his legacy. Even some of the users suggested raising funds to distribute white jerseys of T-shirts outside the stadium ahead of the match. Even plain white T-shirts will do — we just want to make this happen,” said the original poster, who also created a template to encourage wider participation.

If this request from fans goes as per plan, then we all can witness a test white tribute for the Kohli’s legacy and can see the Chinnaswamy filled with fans donning whites instead of red in the stands.
